Michael Anderson is very active in new business production with a particular emphasis on commercial, trade and service contractors, retail and technology-related businesses as well as providing insurance for individuals and families. He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2007. Michael served as a board member for the Independent Insurance Agents of Austin starting in 2006 as well as in every executive position on the board over the following six years.

In the past, Mr. Anderson has served on Progressive’s National Agent’s Advisory Council, Safeco’s Central Region Advisory Council, MetLife’s Southern Agent Advisory Panel Committee, Zurich Small Business’s Western Region Agent’s Council, Bristol West’s National Agent’s Council, and on various advisory councils for the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.

Michael has been an independent insurance agent in Austin since 1992. He quickly realized that as an independent agent he could truly offer his clients choice, customization and advocacy as it relates to their insurance needs and never looked back. Over the past twenty-six years he has built many long-term relationships with clients throughout Texas and insurance companies across the nation.

Michael is a native Austinite. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his children, hunting, fishing, and ‘real’ barbecue (actual hardwood is required!).
